Damdama Lake |
|
|
|
At Delhi you will have
no dearth of places for fun and adventure. If you love
boating and rock climbing you will just have to get out of
Delhi. Just about 3 hours drive from the city of Delhi,
you can go to the Domdama Lake near the Aravalli Hills.
The lake provides ample scope for boating and if you are
an avid rock climber, you will have ample scope to try out
your skills in the difficult terrains of the Aravalli.

Just three and a half
hours drive from the city of Delhi towards the bordering
state of Haryana, you will find a picturesque picnic spot
with fields of wavy grass and a fantastic hot spring. The
place is also the proud venue of the Statesman Vintage Car
Rally in the month of February. You will find some
fascinatingly beautiful cars of yore race gracefully at
the rally. |

Dhauj |
|
|
|
People with a passion
for height and a liking for birds must visit Dhauj. This
beautiful place is only 40 km away from the city of Delhi
and is nestled sweetly in the Aravalli Hills. The cliff
overlooks a reservoir and is a fine place for bird
watching. |

Surajkund |

|
This is actually a
water tank named after the Sun God. In one corner of the
circular tank there is a raised ramp and this was probably
used by elephants. There is also an artificial lake and
this provides for an excellent boating and picnic spot. In
the month of February, the place comes alive because a
fair takes place for a fortnight and artisans from all
over the country come here to display their wares. |
